Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do.
— Steve Jobs

I am a seasoned professional with nearly two decades experience as a digital strategist and researcher. Most recently, I have worked for large companies like IBM and General Dynamics to build user-driven solutions to thorny design and development problems for U.S. Federal Government clients.

The other half of my career has been spent in the fast-paced, multiple-project, highly revenue-driven world of digital agencies. In my role as a strategist, UXR, and account leader, I have been able to balance competing demands and collaborate productively and happily with designers, developers, and clients alike.

I am a quick learner who is always curious and who loves problem-solving.  I’ve been able to balance the needs of multiple stakeholder groups—leadership, developers, designers, and other user experience contributors—while retaining my commitment to the end users’ experience.

I have always been passionate about content—I began my career as a copywriter and have kept up those skills both professionally (with articles and profiles published in newspapers and small magazines) and creatively, with side projects both in digital and traditional media.

My passion for my work and commitment to the people I work with are my guiding principles.
